Pavilions in Architecture Studio—Assessment of Design-Build Approach in Architecture Education

Pavilion construction projects are an emergent paradigm in architecture education. Nevertheless, their efficiency has not yet been assessed terms of added contribution to learning experience and pedagogical outcomes. This paper reviews the development, challenges outcomes ‘Element Pavilion’ for Year One undergraduate students offers a quantitative qualitative assessment over impact on learning. A systematic analysis students’ perceived using psychometric evaluation is presented here first time. The introduces hypothetical pavilion project pedagogy model (HPPP model) which can be used developed further by architects educators. Analysis results identify four aspects that perceive as critical factors design-build experience: construction, design process, engagement participation, teamwork.
